Terms and conditions

Sports Massage by Emma is a sports therapy clinic that also offers spa experience appointments. Emma is trained in sports massage therapy which means all massage appointments will be sports massage. Spa appointments will also be sports massage therapy with extra techniques added for the treatments. This also includes hot stone massage and Indian head massage appointments. (Emma does not provide relaxing massage treatments)
All clients will be required to fill out a client consultation/consent form online ready for their first appointment.
If you are aged 16 years or under, please allow a parent/guardian to fill out the consultation form.
A parent or guardian will need to be present for the appointment if the appointment is for someone under 16 years of age.
Treatments will only be carried out if safe to do so (for example, existing health conditions can potentially affect treatment)
Please note that Sports Massage by Emma is a professional clinic setting. Abuse, inappropriate behaviour and anything relating to this is NOT tolerated. (Please see the inappropriate behaviour section below for more information regarding this)

Deposits

In order to secure a booking, a deposit of £10 is now required for all massage appointments. The remaining balance can be paid by cash, card/contactless or bank transfer.
Refunds of deposits are subject to a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled appointment time. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the deposit is non-refundable and the full payment is expected, as detailed in the Cancellation Policy below.
For clients redeeming a gift voucher, a deposit is not required. When booking make sure to click the 'using a voucher' option.

Cancellations

If you can no longer make your appointment for any reason, contact Emma as soon as possible.
All late cancellations will require a full payment. A late cancellation is less than 24 hours notice.
A full payment will also be expected if you do not turn up to your appointment (no-show).
If you are using a gift voucher and fail to attend the appointment or cancel late (less than 24 hours notice), full payment will still be required via bank transfer. The gift voucher can then be used for a future appointment.
If you are late for your appointment, Emma will not be able to go over your appointment time as this will consequently make all other appointments run late too. Full payment will still be required.

Inappropriate behaviour:

If at any point there is inappropriate behaviour from a client including either verbally, physically or sexually the appointment will end IMMEDIATELY and full payment will still be required, even if the full appointment time has not been completed.
Abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
If a client is displaying inappropriate behaviour, they will be questioned immediately and the appointment will end.
Inappropriate behaviour can also include explicit messages sent, including those regarding ‘additional treatments’.
Harassment of any kind is not tolerated.
If Emma is made to feel uncomfortable during an appointment because of inappropriate behaviour, she has the right to end the treatment.
Wearing underwear or shorts at a minimum is compulsory for massage. If a client does not agree with this, does not comply with this rule or makes any kind of suggestive comments around this subject, then the appointment will be stopped and full payment will still be required.
